A pollination variant non astringent (PVNA) type. This plant produces fruits for consumption and also used as pollinator for others. It has very good grafting compatibility on Diospyrus lotus rootstock. Fruits when properly ripened are eaten as snacks, candied or preserved. Cultivar is of Italian origin.
