Here are pics of some of last yrs persimmon harvest..





trees the fruit was harvested from..










I have not seen flowers this yr.. think the late freeze this last spring might have something to do with that..

We counted 7 total fruit on the trees this yr... The fruit was rather large (for native).. we figured it was because that was all the fruit there was and the trees put all their energy in to those few fruit..

I think mom made some jam or something with her harvest last yr.. I know she was looking for recipes..
I have a house full of nibblers (4 kids) and they rarely let fruit make it past the basket..
I have some seedlings and hope in a few yrs to have my own trees in my yard that I can let the kids nibble on and still have enough to cook with..
