Here is fruit on the first graft posted to this thread.. Next to it is a twig with native persimmon to compare size..

Mom noted that the native fruit are a bit larger than normal this year..
But the grafted fruit is still way bigger than the native fruit..
Thanks Joe!!

Well done! Smile I tried to propagate kaki persimmon by whip grafting in March, but still not sure about the result. Nothing is growing from budds despite it seems rootstock and scion are fused together. i have no idea, what to do with it now Rolling Eyes

Thanks!!! I am quite pleased with how well they turned out!!

I would give yours some time.. if they are still green there is hope for them.. I checked some grafts I did this spring and all but the fuyu were doing nothing.. still green, but no growth.. The fuyu has some crazy massive growth!! But I think the others just need a little more time.. I will not count them out till they are no longer green..
the persimmon graft shown above has a massive # of blooms.. I cursed that I did not have my camera with me.. Next time I will be there the blooms will probably be gone.. Sad
I should be able to get some pics the 11th or 12th that I can post of the new grafts...

Well, it was grafted by using dormant scionwood, nothing is green, budds are without any further development Crying or Very sad but i will give them some time, it looks like rootstock and scionwood are fused together. Can it be incompactibility of scions with rootstock? I use Diospyros lotus as rootstock.

And I am looking forward to see some photo of your new grafts.
